    The past few years have been a doozy…

    It’s been almost three years since the world shifting pandemic began and a lot has changed. Now, more than ever, is a golden opportunity to reflect, review, and dive deep into what matters most for ourselves and our families.

    Here are some of the questions I'm asking myself as I stand here looking ahead:

    > How am I doing?

    > How do I help myself and my family manage stress?

    > What do I need to feel fueled, steady and present?

    > Where do I want to focus my attention seasonally?

    > Who do I want to be for myself and the people I love?

    > What are my intentions and dreams?

    > How do I set boundaries around technology?

    > How do I open up and maintain conversations about sex, bodies and relationships?

    > How do I navigate all of life’s unknowns with skill, awe and appreciation?

     
     

     

     

    These 9 Months are a golden opportunity to get present, clear, and creative in how you operate in all aspects of life.

    What if you give yourself the time, space and support to sort out where you are now and how you want to go forward?

    What if you decide to commit to self-awareness and self-regulation practices?

    What if you are fed the tools and support, consistently and in small manageable doses, to know, hear and trust yourself more deeply?

    Over 9 months, I’m going to be exploring personhood + family life with a community of co-travelers who are committed to conscious living and creating meaningful lives.

     

    New Possibilities

    For the past decade I've been slowing life down, feeling all the feelings, exploring my limiting beliefs, noticing my reactions, steadying my wobbles, clarifying my soul's desires, listening to my heart and gut, practicing my essentials, considering new possibilities for healthy humanhood, dreaming big dreams, setting clear intentions and appreciating life here and now.

    I've tested my methods on myself and with hundreds of people and I can honestly say THIS STUFF WORKS! Now, I’m ready to dive even deeper. I'm also ready to facilitate and guide a group of humans who are eager to experiment and explore their own unique ISness with me.

    I’m offering a supportive playground for a community of us to investigate and practice our personal truths, relationship skills and deepest knowings in the realms of both personhood and family life.

    [You + Your People] A spacious, deep dive into the “big stuff” of family life. You’ll receive the tools and support to get clear and tend your fears as you grow and evolve.


    Core Modules

    Our Core Modules run for 4 weeks and then we take a break to implement. During the time off, daily emails will continue as well as our Monthly Q+A. You’ll be supported as you take the time and space to practice all you’ve learned before continuing into new ideas, concepts and experiments.


    Module 1: Triggers

    September 19th - October 14th

    Learn to name, tame, tend and transcend your stress reactions - for yourself and your family.

    Triggers: Name, tame, tend and transcend your stress reactions. Parenting is evocative. Your children are still learning to manage their emotions and, truth be told, you might also still be learning how to manage your emotions, too. And, the way you handle stress is how they are learning to handle their own. So, let’s start with you.

    During this module you will:
    > Understand the neuroscience of why you lose your cool.
    > Become skilled at noticing when you are getting out of sorts and take action to shift your state, before you flip your lid.
    > Discover how to discharge your anger and frustration in ways that are healthy for you and the people around you.
    > Learn how to slow down, reflect and re-regulate yourself in the stressful moments so you don't freak out on, and so you can be present for, the people you love.
    > Create new patterns and behaviors of managing your stress in yourself.
    > Begin healing the wounds and shifting the neurology that have left you vulnerable to being triggered in the first place.
    > Learn how to share these invaluable tools with your children so they grow up with healthy ways of dealing with their own stress.

    Learning to name, tame, tend and transcend your triggers might be the most important and impactful gift you can give your children. ​​​​​​​


    Module 2: Steady through the Holidays

    November 14th - December 16th

    Gain clarity about what lies ahead and set clear intentions for how you want to move through the holidays.

    Steady through the Holidays: What I have come to know, more deeply than ever before, is that YOU KNOW. You know what you need to be present. You know how you want to relate to your most treasured people and you know what is required to navigate your life in ways that feel just right for you.

    And, yet, it's hard to hear the answers in the midst of the day-to-day busyness of life, especially during the holiday season.

    During this module you will:
    > Make space, take time and gain perspective.
    > Tune into your own wisdom.
    > Listen to the parts of you that are profoundly clear, deeply creative and mightily courageous.
    > Discover how to find more joy in the (big and small) moments.
    > Practice getting and staying grounded.
    > Deeply connect with your loved ones.
    > Create and live with an attitude of gratitude.
    > Tap into a like-minded community for support and inspiration.
    > Learn how to make this season your very own.

    I know what you might be thinking, "I'm full up, I don't have time for that!" I hear you loud and clear. I assure you that this program isn't designed to add one more thing to your plate, but rather, to help you enjoy everything that's on it.

    January 9th - February 3rd

    Get Clear on the Year: Explore passion, prosperity and living your YOU-est life.

    It's not what you say, but who you are, that speaks the loudest. And who you are is ever-evolving. Pausing and taking the time to explore yourself -- how you feel, what you love/value/believe/care about -- is the fuel of conscious living.

    During this module we will:
    > Reflect on the past few years.
    > Learn my Four Questions and start using them to know yourself more deeply, immediately.
    > Know who you are, here and now.
    > Clarify what you value as a person.
    > Know what brings you true and deep joy.
    > Own and feel confident in going toward more of what you love.
    > Begin or continue on the path of excavating the YOU that lives on purpose and in alignment with all that is true and right for you.
    > Uncover hidden roadblocks that stop you from living blissfully every day.
    > Gain clarity on the roles you play in your life.
    > Outline what you truly want for yourself.
    > Set clear goals for the year to come.
    > Create a plan to make IT happen.
    > Get guidance to stay on track all year long.
    > Gather simple and effective tools that bring more ease, joy, and love to life!

    In practicing this process of self-discovery, you are clarifying your own life. And, the benefits of becoming more you will ripple out.


    Module 4: Relationships

    March 6th - March 31st

    Create and teach deep, resilient, boundaried and enduring relationships.

    Relationships: Create deep, resilient, boundaried and enduring relationships. Your relationships are what matter most. And, the quality and health of your relationships are not a given simply because you are related to people. Family relationships need to be observed and tended so they can evolve through the different phases of development, yours and theirs. How you relate with each other now sets the tone for the types of relationships they have later, with you and with others.

    During this module you will:
    > Discover how you are relating with yourself and how this influences how you relate with others.
    > Learn ways to talk with your children about sex, sexuality, consent and boundaries, no matter what their age, so they are well equipped for navigating these areas of life.
    > Create a family environment within which everyone feels comfortable bringing their questions about love, sex, and relationships to the table.
    > Recognize that the ebbs and flows of relating in family life are normal (and necessary at times) and learn how to savor when things are feeling groovy and tend your wobbles when things feel unsteady.
    > Learn how to welcome the sticky situations of family life as opportunities for growing and deepening.
    > Create family rituals, habits and practices that enhance your relationships now and down the road.
    > Understand how and why it's important to take responsibility for modeling healthy adult relationships. They are learning from you!

    By taking the time to explore how you relate with yourself and your people you are setting in motion relationships that will be respectful, honest, deep and loving, now and later. ​​​​​​​


    Module 5: Boundaries & Technology

    April 17th - May 12th

    Boundaries & Technology: Gain clarity around screens and devices for you and your family. This is uncharted territory. You didn’t grow up with this kind of technology and your kids don't know life without it. It's hard to know what to allow, what limits to set and where to turn for good information.

    During this module you will:
    > Step out of daily life to examine what's really happening with you and your children when it comes to devices and screen time.
    > Think about the ways technology serves you as a family and how it hinders you as a family.
    > Create boundaries and guidelines for yourself and your children.
    > Minimize power struggles and meltdowns.
    > Maximize healthy connections and communication.
    > Empower your children to know and trust themselves in this realm, and beyond.​​​​​​

    You will leave feeling clearer, calmer and more confident in your role as the family guide in navigating the ever-changing technology landscape. ​​​​​​​


    Module 6: Sailing into Summer

    May 22nd - June 16th

    Time, space and guidance to slow down, turn inward, and trust your knowing heading into summer.

    Sailing into Summer: How do you want this summer to flow? How do you want to feel in the midst of it all? What do you need to feel aligned and present so you can savor the season?

    Give yourself (and by default, your people) the gift of feeling supported and inspired as you excavate the you that not just survives but THRIVES through anything that comes your way. Let's pull it all together before we head into summer.

    During this module you will...
    > Debrief the past year so far.
    > Integrate the learnings. What's changed? What's important now? What keeps me steady?
    > Clarify intentions for the summer. How do I want it to feel and flow?
    > Establish boundaries and guidelines for yourself and your people. What's OUR way of savoring summer?

    Prepare to feel clearer, calmer and more confident in navigating your summer.


    I think the self-care aspect of your program is life-changing. I think that a lot of us were raised to think we have to do it all, never consider our own feelings (that would be selfish, right!), etc. I have really been trying to do this when I feel triggered with my girls and my husband. I have noticed I am able to shift a situation even if I only manage to close my eyes for half a second and take a deep, long breath... I can get enough of a charge to make it through two whining girls getting into the car.

    How do the calls work?

    SIX virtual Four Week CORE MODULES spread out over NINE MONTHS.

    During which we meet ONCE A WEEK on
    TUESDAYS at 12 PM ET.

    ALL CALLS ARE RECORDED so you can join me live or listen back at your leisure.

    By spreading out the core modules you are able to focus on one topic at a time for a full month then go live your life -- integrating, experimenting and making the process all your own.

     

    What is included?

    GATHERINGS

    Each Core Module month join me and your co-travelers virtually for weekly learning, from the inside out. We’ll settle, write and discuss topics that are relevant to personhood + family life and being present, here and now. You’ll explore your life, with me and a group of others who are also on a similar path of self-discovery. Traveling together this way creates exponential growth and evolution. 

    Daily Template Reminders 

    Returning to yourself, regularly and consistently, is what creates more skill around self-awareness and self-regulation. This is like doing daily exercise for your mind, heart and soul. And the more you do it, the clearer you get. Checking in for just 5 minutes a day -- staying present with what and how you are thinking, feeling and knowing -- is at the foundation of this offering. Five days a week for 9 months, you will receive an email with a mix of simple prompts -- old favorites and new questions -- that will allow you to stay current with your whole self. You hearing you is what will allow you to be present with yourself, your people and the world at large, no matter what unfolds before you. 

    Monthly Q+A 

    Send me your questions and I’ll share my thoughts on zoom. These happen all 9 months, the 2nd Thursday of each Month at 12 PM ET beginning October 13th. All Q + As will be recorded.

    Meet Carrie

    Carrie Contey, Ph.D., is an internationally recognized coach, author, speaker, and educator. Her work offers a new perspective on human development, parenting, and family life.
